Change/Control explores how design shapes collective experience.

Developed in collaboration with DJs, designers and creative practitioners, the project treats each event as a carefully constructed environment rather than simply a music night. Identity, printed matter, lighting, sound, furniture, architecture and conversation are considered together, creating spaces where people feel invited to participate rather than simply attend.

The venue becomes part of the work.

Music provides the rhythm, but design creates the atmosphere. Every decision, from a flyer to the position of a chair, contributes to a shared experience that feels coherent, welcoming and memorable.

Current areas of development include:

Visual Identity
Spatial Design
Printed Matter
Event Production
Audience Experience
Digital Presence

My role focuses on developing the project’s visual language and spatial identity, considering how people move through, occupy and remember temporary environments. Although centred on music, the project draws on the same interests that underpin my wider practice: architecture, narrative, participation and the design of places that encourage curiosity and connection.

Change/Control is an exploration of how temporary cultural spaces can foster lasting relationships, demonstrating that atmosphere is not something that happens by accident, but something that can be designed with intention.
