The Observatory is the long-term ambition of my practice.

It is conceived as a permanent home for The Constant State: an inhabitable environment where painting, sculpture, installation, writing and digital media exist as part of a single evolving world. Rather than presenting artworks as isolated objects, The Observatory invites audiences to explore imagined places through the environments, archives and evidence they contain.

Neither gallery, museum, studio nor library, it exists somewhere between them. New rooms emerge through commissions, exhibitions and collaborations, allowing the project to grow incrementally rather than towards a fixed masterplan. Every addition becomes part of the place itself.

Making and public engagement happen side by side. Work is produced within The Observatory, documented through its archives and gradually absorbed into the wider environment. The distinction between studio, exhibition and research dissolves into a single continuous practice.
